History of Performance Development International, Inc. (PDII)
"We value PDII's strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity. They were particularly helpful in developing our senior management team, and crystallizing our approach to corporate strategy.”

Performance Development International, Inc. (PDII) was founded in 1994 when Dow Scott, Ph.D. and James F. Stevens, Ed.D. combined their expertise to develop and implement high-performance leadership teams at the Sara Lee Corporation – Branded Apparel Division
Dow and Jim first worked together when they were hired as part of a development team to create a Corporate University at BFGoodrich in 1974. After BFGoodrich, Jim and Dow pursued separate careers as a management consultant and academician, respectively. First, Jim was a consultant with Sterling Institute where he focused on leadership development and survey feedback. When he formed his own consulting firm, Human Resources Group, Jim continued to develop management-training programs and advise managers on methods for achieving leadership excellence. Jim joined Marsh and McLennan Companies in 2000 to help build their consulting, learning and technical capabilities. Jim has recently returned to PDII as a Senior Consultant and Associate.
Meanwhile Dow pursued teaching and research as a university professor while consulting with business leaders. His research received national awards for both its quality and practicality from the Society of Human Resource Management (i.e., Yoder-Heneman Research Award) and the Academy of Management. In addition, the National Science Foundation (NSF), clients and other agencies have provided over $1,000,000 to support his research efforts to improve the competitiveness of American industry.
Dennis Morajda joined PDII in 1998. His expertise in Human Resources, Organization Development and employee opinion survey feedback has made him an important addition to the PDII team. As Vice President and Senior Consultant, Dennis has quantitative skills for identifying opportunities for improving company productivity and employee morale, and the practical know-how to implement managed change successfully.
Dow, Dennis and Jim’s decades of combined expertise and client practice resulted in PDII quickly becoming nationally known for:
